The Island of Emotions!!! (Lesson 3)
The Island of
Emotions!!!
“Almost everyone will
make a good first impression. But only a few will make a good lasting
impression”.
The class was all about
emotions…The lockdown has forced us to put a lock and key on our emotions. The class
gave the students an opportunity to express themselves more. That too in a language
they are familiar with. The language of emojis made the class fun and
interesting to them. They were able to assimilate the language of emotions very
easily without much time. The participation of the students made the class
worthwhile and more effective. Everyone attempts their best to create the best
first impression. To continue the trend is what matters. Then only it will be meaningful
for the students and the teacher alike. My intention is to strive for that.
Highlights
Hand-drawn pictures
Pictures have a
language of their own. Using hand-drawn pictures convey the concept to the students
in an easy way. They seem to relate to the pictures in an effective manner.
Activity
The activity or
discourse given in the class was suitable for the students and their thinking
process. “Island of Emotions” and “Language of Flowers” could elicit positive
responses from the students.
Realia
PPT with a Pedagogic
Twist!
PPT
PPT is the new normal. Every
teacher in every class uses it. It’s your job to keep it different and meaningful
for the learners to suit their level of interest and needs.
Homework
The work given should
be interesting to the students. They should feel tempted to do the homework and
not forced to do that.
Every day is a challenge. I am learning new things every day. Hope this trend continues...I think I am getting the hang of things once again. 💓💓💓
